Siemens - Packaging SAAS

Situation
Siemens Software Solutions needed to innovate their software offerings, looking to move from Desktop to Software as a Service and to create a new 'Packaging' proposition to begin the transition towards SAAS.

Task
The Siemens teams needed to be taken on a journey of 'Design Thinking', to understand methodology, up-skill in capability and to create what 'Packaging of the future' could be within Siemens solutions.

Action
I planned, hosted and facilitated a 3 day design sprint with colleagues from across the globe, based on Google Ventures sprints.

Collating research, analytics, strategic direction for the Siemens Group and also SMEs in to set the scene of why, what, who and where Siemens wants to head in the future and allowing the sprint teams to understand their customers needs and pains, as well as business needs and pains.

Once pains and needs had been collated, synthesis could happen and value proposition mapping also, leading teams to create their own problem statements that they would spend time trying to solve.

Result
150+ ideas were created and 4 taken forward to a point of prototyping and presentations back to the teams and SMEs with test plans. These ideas were added to teams backlogs to test and results dependant begin to create as part of the future SAAS offering from Siemens.
